ANALYSIS OF 3 TEEN MOVIES WITH DIFFERENT AUDIENCES

TEEN FILMS

CLUELESS TRAILER:

The genre of the movie is american comedy. I think that the film appeals to females more than males, as the story line is based around love and relationships, which would interest girls more than boys and also the main characters are females.  The story line is pretty simple but the way it was presented made the film more interesting.  The story appeals to teenage girls, as the film rotates around the theme of romance in a comedic way.

CARRIE (2013) TRAILER:

This is for any one to be honest, anyone that has been bullied, anyone currently in school, any girl, any boy. Honestly, it's for any one. It uses CGI to create the effect of moving/flying objects. It would be liked mostly by girls as the main character is female, and the topics (periods) shown are more relevant to the female audience. It is a bit of a horror film, so male audiences will be interested and also it doesn't focus too much on 'girly topics'

SUPERBAD TRAILER:

This film is target mostly to boys, but equally to girls too. I say this because the main characters are young teenage boys and some of the topics and themes shown in the film, boys can relate to better than girls. But it is a comedy so i think anyone can watch this (16+ because of swear words). The film is just three guy friends, where one gets a fake idea to buy alcohol for a party they are going to. Things don't go to plan, slowly their plans get worse, but they do make it to the party. They are nerds, so are social out casts and don't get the girls they want (at the beginning).
